Directions

Rowan Oak is located South East of the Downtown Square in Oxford, Mississippi. The physical address is 916 Old Taylor Rd Oxford, MS 38655. If you have trouble locating Rowan Oak with GPS, use the address 915 Old Taylor Rd. Oxford, MS 38655 instead. This will take you to the private residence located right next to Rowan Oak’s parking entrance.

Parking

Limited unpaved parking is available on site (approximately 10 spaces total). Some minimal walking is required from the parking area to the grounds and house. If you are apart of a large group, please carpool as much as possible. For ADA parking assistance, call 662 234 3284 upon arrival.

Instructions:

• Cars: Pull down into the gravel area to park, then follow the designated paths marked with red arrows pointing towards the grounds and house. If the gravel parking area is full or closed off, park at the top of Rowan Oak’s entrance near the road without blocking the gates.
• Buses and Larger Vehicles: Park at the top of Rowan Oak’s entrance on the right hand side near the “Mississippi Writer’s Trail” sign. Do not pull down into the gravel parking area or block the gates.
• ADA Parking: Call 662-234-3284 upon arrival for closer access.
• Bailey Woods Trail Access: Park at the University Museum if you only intend to use the Bailey Woods Trail.
